A major route between Glasgow and the Highlands remains closed for a second day after two landslides.
The A83 is closed close to the Rest and Be Thankful viewpoint after eleven landslips close to the route in the early hours of yesterday (September 1), three of which have affected the road. Heavy rain overnight has hampered efforts to reopen the route, which links Glasgow to Argyll.
Drivers are facing a diversion of 60 miles after a second landslide closed the original diversion route. The road is closed between Arrochar and the A815 for Dunoon.
The route is closed close to Butterbridge. Further inspections are to take place this morning, according to Traffic Scotland.
