Auchencairn Primary has been praised by inspectors. ‌

Officials from Education Scotland visited the school in May and gave it a “very good” mark – the second highest possible – when it came to raising attainment and achievement. ‌

And they also rated it “good” for learning, teaching and assessment. ‌

The inspectors described the children as “polite, enthusiastic and friendly” who were making strong progress in literacy and numeracy.

They also recognised the “highly effective” headteacher Eliza Jarvis, saying she was “successfully leading positive change” for the school community.
