The city of Twin Falls in June paid a city employee $13,886 in a severance agreement if she agreed to resign immediately and not sue the city.

The payment included a regular two-week payroll check as well as compensation for four biweekly pay periods of 80 hours, according to the agreement, which the Times-News received through a public records request.

Former transit coordinator Maxine Durand, who ran the Ride TFT program for two years, signed the agreement when she resigned on June 16.

According to the agreement, Durand and all her relatives, heirs and successors “fully release” the city of Twin Falls and all of its employees and representatives from all claims she has or may have against the city.
