FISHKILL – One year after taking the job of police chief, Joseph Clark is resigning. Clark submitted his letter of resignation to Town Supervisor Ozzy Albra, effective Wednesday, September 3, 2025. “It has been an honor to serve you, and this great community, in this capacity for the last year,” Chief Clark wrote. The town board will vote to accept the resignation at Wednesday’s board meeting.

Supervisor Albra told Mid-Hudson News that “Chief Clark did an excellent job for the town and I congratulate him on his retirement.”

Albra indicated that he is working with Councilman John Forman and Councilman Brian Wrye to prepare interviews for Clark’s successor.
