Late last year, Putnam County began the long-delayed, much-talked-about Fair Street reconstruction project in the heart of Carmel. If you’ve driven through the area, you’ve seen it. Running through residential areas, Carmel Hamlet’s commercial center, and our county’s largest high school, Fair Street is a critical stretch of infrastructure. This was always planned as a multi-year project, and we are currently in year one. Although some lacked the courage to move forward in years past, this Administration is now finally getting it done.
Last fall, I hosted a public town hall with our Department of Public Works (DPW), the contractor Gianfia, and other stakeholders to give residents a full update and explain why these improvements were essential. That presentation is still avai
