A 22-year-old man has tragically died after being 'injured' on a city centre street in Edinburgh.
An investigation is underway after police responded to the scene on Great Junction Street at Bonnington Road.
We reported earlier how the street was closed around Bangor Road while cops swarmed the area on Tuesday, September 2.
Emergency services attended, however the 22-year-old man sadly died at the scene.
His family has been informed and a postmortem examination will be carried out and the death is being treated as suspicious.
Shops have reportedly been shut as the road remains locked down. A tent was erected earlier in the road and the street was taped off.
A Police Scotland Spokesperson said: "An investigation is under way following the death of a man in Edinburgh.
