JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Salvation Army of Johnson City announced on Tuesday that it has received a donation of linens for all 15 bedrooms within the new veterans wing.

The donation was made by the Washington County Federated Republican Women’s Club (WCFRW).

"We are very grateful to the WCFRW for raising funds and purchasing new bedding, so that each of our veterans upon entering the new unit will have a fresh new start," Major Maureen Diffley, corps officer, said in a news release. "It is a blessing for them to feel the support and care of our Washington County community."

The WCFRW raised funds throughout the summer for The Salvation Army and its "More Than a Bed" campaign.
