MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Madison Police Department officers found one fired shell casing after callers reported hearing shots fired over the weekend on the city’s west side, the department reported Tuesday.

Multiple people reported hearing shots fired after 7:45 p.m. Saturday in the 5400 block of Mineral Point Road.

Multiple people were in the area when officers arrived, police said.

It does not appear anyone was injured in the gunfire, nor were any suspects found.

MPD said in an update Tuesday that officers processed one spent shell casing.
