GLENDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — It’s Something Good when first responders step in to help families prepare for the new school year and lessen the financial stress that can come with it.

Glendale Firefighters Charities donated their time and energy to a back-to-school drive, helping the Salvation Army prepare 300 families for the start of classes.

The organization extended a special thank you to Glendale Fire Cadets, whose “dedication and service made a powerful impact and didn’t go unnoticed.

Founded in 2001, Glendale Firefighters Charities was formed with the main goal of serving its Glendale neighbors in as many ways as possible.

It has donated school supplies to many local Valley schools over the years .
