SPENCER, W.Va. (WV News) — A Roane County school bus was rear-ended by a small SUV Tuesday afternoon while stopped on Charleston Road to unload students, according to a statement from Roane County Schools.

The incident involved Bus 42, which was preparing to let students off when the collision occurred. Emergency responders and school officials arrived on the scene to assess the situation and ensure student safety, according to the statement posted on social media.

While no serious injuries have been reported, three students were transported to Roane General Hospital as a precaution for further evaluation. All other students were assessed by emergency personnel at the scene, school officials said.
