Another upper-level wave passes through the state on Wednesday, bringing scattered showers and storms. A few storms could be strong with gusty winds and heavy rain. There is a low risk for flash flooding. High temperatures will again be in the mid-80s.

A cold front is expected to move across North Alabama on Thursday, but it will dissipate over the state. Expect spotty showers and storms through the evening. It will be hot and humid ahead of the front, with highs in the lower 90s.

Friday will be hotter, drier, and humid. Expect plenty of sunshine with highs in the lower to mid-90s. The heat index will be around 100°.
