SHELBY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A man has been charged following a death investigation in Shelby on Labor Day, according to the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office.

On Sept. 1, deputies responded to a home at 116 Sandy Point Drive. When officers arrived, they found the homeowner, Letonya Bradshaw, dead in her home from multiple gunshots.

Following the investigation, arrest warrants were issued for Micheal Keith Bradshaw, who also lived in the home. Officials did not disclose the nature of the victim and suspect's relationship.

Bradshaw was charged with first-degree murder and is being held in the Cleveland County Detention Center without bond.
