DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers have recalled left-handed reliever Bailey Horn from Triple-A Toledo.

He will take the spot of rookie lefty Drew Sommers, who was optioned to Toledo.

Horn, 27, joins the Tigers for his fourth stint this season. He has appeared in only four MLB games but has pitched well for the Mud Hens, posting a 3.29 ERA in 41 innings with 19 walks and 51 strikeouts.

The Tigers claimed Horn off waivers from the Boston Red Sox last November, then designated him for assignment a month later when they signed second baseman Gleyber Torres . They reacquired him in a cash deal with the St. Louis Cardinals in March.

Sommers, 25, spent 11 days with the Tigers after being selected from Toledo to make his big-league debut last month .
