WINTERVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - The war in Ukraine may feel far away, but for one Pitt County resident, it’s personal. It’s the place she grew up before coming to America.
We sat down with Olena Zintchouk as she shared what it’s like watching the bloodshed in her homeland — and her hopes for peace.
In her art studio, Zintchouk finds solace — a way to express herself and create beauty like the painting hanging in her living room.
