BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A Bakersfield man on Tuesday was sentenced to 15-and-a-half years in prison for distributing images depicting child sexual abuse, according to federal prosecutors.

Roman Rodriguez, 26, obtained more than 600 illicit images online from Feb. 18 to Feb. 22, 2024, according to a release from the U.S. Department of Justice, Eastern District of California.

The images included prepubescent children and at least one toddler, prosecutors said.
