WACO, Texas — More than 260 single-family homes and 96 multi-family units are set to rise from the ashes of Baylor's former Floyd Casey stadium. The Cordova Springs project aims to give the now-vacant lot a similar purpose to the one the stadium once had, one rooted in community.

"When the stadium went away, it left this hole in the middle of the donut of Waco," Cordova Springs homebuilder Steve Sorrells said. "It's mandated with front porches everywhere, and that's something we're really leaning heavily into with our marketing and such is the neighborly part of this and how you're close to everyone and have a front living area out on the porch."
