COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Columbus homicide suspect was indicted on additional charges Tuesday after he was accused of firing shots at officers during an hourslong standoff in Clark County before his arrest last month.

According to United States District Court records, 34-year-old Andre Jordan II was indicted on assault of a federal agent with a deadly weapon, attempted murder of a federal agent, discharge of a firearm during a crime of violence and felon in possession of a firearm.

Jordan is accused of shooting and killing 40-year-old Bryan Morris Jr. in the Old North Columbus area on Aug. 8.

On Aug. 14, the U.S. Marshals Task Force tracked Jordan to a room at the Quality Inn hotel in Springfield.
