IOWA CITY (KWWL) – Iowa’s Gennings Dunker remembers his last trip to Jack Trice Stadium rather fondly.

“It was definitely a really cool atmosphere, you know just having that many people rooting against you, so it was pretty awesome,” Dunker said of Iowa’s 20-13 win in 2023, “So, it’s going to be a fun time.”

Despite losing to the Cyclones a season ago, the Hawkeyes have won six straight games in Ames. Iowa State’s last home win in the series came in 2011.

The hostile atmosphere isn’t the only thing the Hawkeyes will need to deal with, especially the defenders who will face an Iowa State passing offense that scorched South Dakota last weekend. So far, Rocco Becht has made a statement to start his third season under center.
