GORHAM, Maine — Police say several Gorham schools were placed in secure status Tuesday morning as officers assisted federal agents in a nearby operation.
Around 11:20 a.m., Gorham police and the Cumberland County Emergency Services Unit joined the U.S. Marshals Service in executing what officials described as a high-risk search and arrest warrant at Narragansett Street.
Because of the proximity to nearby schools, officials placed them in secure status until the incident was declared safe at about 12:25 p.m.
No other information has been released.
