TOPSHAM, Maine — The Maine Principals’ Association has reinstated Mt. Ararat High School’s boys’ hockey program after the district suspended its season earlier this year due to a hazing investigation .
The unanimous ruling by an MPA committee follows reforms by Maine School Administrative District 75, which suspended the program in February for violating league rules on non-completion of a season.
District officials say they have since completed the hazing investigation, hired a new athletic director, strengthened locker room supervision, provided training for coaches on healthy team culture, partnered with StopHazing , and created an athletic advisory committee.
