CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – The state of West Virginia remembered the life of state Supreme Court Justice Tim Armstead on Tuesday.

He was honored with a service in the House of Delegates chambers.

A visitation was held earlier Tuesday afternoon, welcoming people to pay their respects.

Armstead became House speaker in 2015 before being appointed to the state Supreme Court in 2018. He won a 12-year term in 2020.

Armstead died last week after a battle with cancer. He was 60 years old.
