A move to convert a popular pub in Wolverhampton into a new Toby Carvery will go before council planners next week.
The plan would see the Cleveland Arms in Stowheath Lane, Wolverhampton, converted into a new Toby Carvery restaurant.
A report, which will be discussed by City of Wolverhampton Council’s planning committee next week, has recommended the application is approved.
The local authority’s planners said the planned £1.5m makeover was a “welcome investment” that would make a “positive contribution” to the pub’s continued operation.
During public consultation, 18 objections were submitted to the City of Wolverhampton Council, mainly concerned about the pub’s loss.
