Safety teams are examining potential new measures on a busy road after two fatal crashes in a fortnight.

A teenager, named locally as Theo Jay Ganderton, died after his motorbike collided with an Audi TT car on Thornhill Road, Sutton Coldfield , late on Friday, August 30.

He had turned 17 just two days earlier, according to a fundraising appeal.

A pedestrian in his late 70s was fatally injured by a car as he crossed the same road outside Sutton Coldfield Golf Club just before 6pm on Saturday, August 16. And a three-car crash on Thornhill Road saw a woman taken to hospital on August 20.
