As the sun rises on this beautiful Wednesday morning, Newark and the greater North Jersey region are stepping into the day with that unmistakable early fall feel.
It’s a cool 66 degrees along Broadway and Arlington Avenue in Newark’s North Ward, and if you're heading out early, whether for work, school, or a brisk walk, you might want to bring a light jacket.
Some of the coolest spots in the region, such as Morristown and Sussex County, are waking up in the mid-to-upper 50s, giving residents a refreshing start to the day.
But don’t let the chill fool you, the forecast promises a return of sunshine and warmth by midday.
According to the National Weather Service, today’s forecast includes:
