Despite raising another $1,000 in the past week, Augusta restaurant Villa Europa has closed its doors “for the foreseeable future,” according to a message left on the restaurant’s phone.

“Please keep an eye on social media for food truck locations when it will be out front (of the restaurant at 3044 Deans Bridge Road) or out and about town," also noted the phone message.

Last week, the outgoing message on the restaurant's phone did not indicate that the restaurant was closing. Messages left at the number on Monday were not immediately returned.
