VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) - A fire broke out at a duplex in Valdosta overnight on Monday, Sept. 1. The Valdosta Fire Department (VFD) shared photos of the blaze.
VFD said that no injuries were reported, and that the duplex was vacant at the time of the fire. They said the structure fire was on Knox Drive.
VFD said that heavy smoke and flames were coming from the roof of the duplex. The cause of the fire is under investigation, according to VFD.
VFD said that South Georgia Medical Center Health EMS and Valdosta Police assisted with on scene operations.
