FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- New court documents released this week show long-time Valley restaurant owner Bobby Salazar handed over his US passport as part of a $1 million bond to secure his release from jail.
Action News was there when Salazar walked out of the Fresno County Jail.
He's accused of hiring a local motorcycle club member to torch his namesake restaurant on Blackstone in central Fresno last year.
Salazar received nearly $1 million in insurance money for that fire.
He faces two arson-related felonies, along with new firearms charges.
Salazar pleaded not guilty before a federal judge last week.
His next court hearing is scheduled for September 11.
