NEW BRIGHTON, Pa. —

A woman was rescued from a home and flown to a hospital following a fire in New Brighton.

According to officials, the fire on Route 68 started in the center of the house Wednesday morning. Crews tell Pittsburgh's Action News 4 they were able to knock down flames fast and rescue the woman inside. Advertisement

The condition of the woman who was rescued has not been released, however fire officials say CPR was performed on scene prior to her being flown to a hospital.

The state fire marshal is investigating.
