BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. (WIS) - The mayor of Blythewood says he will call for an investigation into allegations of “criminal or financial violations” in the town.
In a Facebook post Tuesday night, Blythewood Mayor Sloan Griffin III said he will request an independent investigation from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department regarding “several criminal and financial claims and allegations.”
Griffin wrote that those allegations were made publicly by council members since he took office in 2023.
“While some may stem from political disagreements, others, if true, raise serious concerns about compliance with law, policy, and public trust,” Griffin wrote. “The continued spread of unverified claims harms the integrity of Blythewood and unfairly damages my personal reputation and ability to serve ef
