COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - A man was sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to a deadly 2023 shooting in the Midlands.

Shawn Zeno, 18, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in the death of 19-year-old Austin Morgan. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Investigators say Zeno shot and killed Morgan on Mandel Drive on Sept. 14, 2023. Zeno was 16 years old at the time.

According to an off-duty deputy, Morgan drove his car and stopped in front of an abandoned residence. Once he got out of his vehicle, he was surrounded by multiple people. Zeno then fired several rounds into the car as Morgan drove away, hitting him twice.
