A University of Louisville student was arrested in connection to an attempted kidnapping on the school's campus Sept. 1, according to court documents.

Thomas Hood, 20, of Louisville, faces charges of attempted kidnapping of an adult and carrying a concealed deadly weapon. He is currently being held in the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections on a $25,000 bond.

According to an arrest citation, UofL police officers responded to a report of a university employee being grabbed and chased by someone armed with a large kitchen knife. The employee was reportedly able to get away and lock herself inside a basement and told police dispatch she feared for her life.
