With no lottery system in Alabama, Alabamians have to drive to Tennessee, Mississippi or Georgia for a chance at the Powerball.

"Good luck and may the odds be ever in our favor," said Robin Shumway, who drove from Walker County to Robinson's in Tallapoosa just for a chance at the jackpot.
Wednesday night's drawing is the 41st straight drawing with no jackpot winner. The last winner got the jackpot in May.
Alabamians who are going for the big win have some plans for the money if they get it.
"After I take care of my kids, I'm going on a long vacation and enjoying myself," said Glen Ray, who made the drive to Robinson's from Anniston.
