Syracuse’s Pizza Cutters proved this weekend that Central New Yorkers know their wings. And now the nation knows it too.

The neighborhood pizza shop earned two first-place trophies at the 24th annual National Buffalo Wing Festival , held at Sahlen Field in Buffalo. The two-day event drew more than 45,000 people from across the country and around the world, showcasing 20 restaurants serving 100 different styles of chicken wings, including 60 new flavors.

Pizza Cutters walked away as the only Central New York representative, winning Best Craft Wing with their sushi tempura creation and Best Sweet Wing in the National Sauce Off with their Dan-O’s Seasoning & Fruity Pebbles wing.
