VAN NUYS – A 40-year-old woman was killed and three men were injured when one vehicle T-boned another in a Van Nuys intersection early this morning.

The collision was reported at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday at Van Nuys and Burbank boulevards, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman.

Arriving officers learned a Honda Civic was eastbound on Burbank Boulevard when it went through a red light and struck the driver’s side of the second vehicle, a Mercedez-Benz C300, which was heading north on Van Nuys Boulevard near a Ralphs parking lot, police said.

The woman at the wheel of the Mercedes was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man, approximately 40 years old, was in critical condition when taken to a hospital.
