Prince Joachim 's former family home is now being seen on TV screens in Denmark in a reality TV series.

King Frederik 's younger brother was gifted Schackenborg Castle in 1993 and after extensive renovations, he finally moved in two years later, after marrying his first wife Princess Alexandra in 1995 .

Their sons, Count Nikolai and Count Felix, grew up there as it was the family's official private residence.

Now, the stately home is the backdrop of a "romantic date" on the Danish version of Farmer Wants A Wife.

In Denmark, the show's known as Landmand søger kærlighed , which literally translates to "farmer looking for love".
