Laughter, mischief, and a touch of adventure take the stage this fall as the Grossmont College Theatre Arts Department kicks off its 2025–26 season at the Stagehouse Theatre. The lineup includes the comic favorite The Servant of Two Masters, Oct. 2–4 and 9–11, followed by the family-friendly The Adventures of Shelby the Viking Oct. 17–18.
The Servant of Two Masters, translated by AJ Knox, adapted by Samantha Ginn and Knox, and directed by Geno Carr, brings fresh energy to a centuries-old comedy. The play follows Truffaldino, a servant juggling two masters without being found out, in a whirlwind of slapstick, disguises, and nonstop twists. Carr calls the new adaptation “painfully funny” and promises plenty of laughs for audiences.
