MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The Madison Police Department is following up on leads related to a hit-and-run crash that injured a motorcyclist over the weekend on the Beltline near Gammon Road.

MPD recounted arriving just before 4 p.m. to the westbound Beltline near Gammon Road, and finding an injured motorcyclist.

Officials took the individual to a hospital, and the motorcyclist was reported to be in stable condition.

Authorities determined the motorcycle hit the back of a vehicle and fell off the bike. MPD said the driver of the vehicle stepped out of the car, then drove off before police arrived.
