WALLA WALLA, Wash. - The Walla Walla Regional Airport is hosting the 'Wings over Walla Walla' event all week long, with plenty of events and opportunities for the whole family.
Wings Over Walla Walla is an annual event coordinated by DW Distilling, and features static tours of the planes on the ground, along with reservable ride-along opportunities, historical presentations, a Kids Aviation challenge and much more.
Beginning Sept. 2, visitors are invited to come see history come to life with the presence of two World War 2 bombers, the B-17 Flying Fortress and B-25 Mitchell. Both bombers were used extensively in the European, Pacific and Mediterranean theatres of WW2.
