A haunting mystery drama, “Surface” is a new French series that revolves around the discovery of a child’s skeleton that resurfaces from a submerged village, reopening a 20-year-old missing person’s case.

Based on the bestselling novel by Olivier Norek and produced by Quad Drama for France TV, the six-part series follows Parisian police captain Noémie Chastain (Laura Smet) as she arrives in a remote Occitanie town to assess a police station’s possible closure while at the same time recovering from a traumatic injury that has left her face badly scarred.
