RAWLINS -- Rawlins City Council has a new meeting time.
During its regular meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 2, the Rawlins City Council approved the third reading of an ordinance amendment to council's meeting time. The amendment changed council's meeting start time from 7:30 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, to 6 p.m. The amendment was approved on a 6-1 vote, with Councilman Bruce Seilaff voting against the time change. No discussion happened prior to the vote.
This change was discussed and requested during the July 15 meeting. The ordinance amendment revises Section 2.04.010 of the Municipal Code to change the start time of regular City Council meetings and clarify the scheduling of special and emergency meetings, as well as workshops and informational sessions.
