Football fans were disappointed on Wednesday when NFL RedZone host Scott Hanson revealed on “The Pat McAfee Show” that RedZone would feature full commercials this season.
“I’m just a host,” Hanson said. “The business folks handle the business, and I have no say over different elements that could be in the show.”
He also revealed a new tagline: “Seven hours of redzone football starts now.”
NFL RedZone, which features whip-around coverage of the key moments during the NFL’s busy Sunday windows, has been a staple for audiences since it arrived in 2009.
The longstanding program operated by NFL Network claims to show every touchdown of every game, making it extremely popular with sports betters and fantasy football players.
