LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A new interactive art piece has joined the Louisville landscape.

The Louisville Downtown Partnership (LDP) said the mushrooms will be on display through mid-October near the intersection of East Witherspoon and North Brook Streets at Waterfront Park.

There will be three larger-than-life watering 7-foot mushrooms that will each have a smaller interactive mushroom that can be activated through a hand crank, the LDP said. The hand crank will trigger music, lighting effects and mist.

LeMonde Studio designed the piece; according to its website, the studio "is a movement toward greener entertainment combining art and sensible technology."
