MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A car was hit and damaged by gunfire on Madison’s north side, the Madison Police Department announced Wednesday.

The call came in around 11 a.m. on Tuesday from the 3600 block of Packers Avenue, MPD said.

When officers arrived, they spoke with the caller and learned that the car was parked and no one was inside of it at the time of the shooting.

The car was shot through the radiator and into the engine.
