BLUFFTON, S.C. (WSAV) — The Town of Bluffton is set to launch a new historic resources survey of the Old Town Bluffton Historic District.
The project will document and preserve the town's history, expanding and updating previous surveys completed in 2008 and 2019 through photographs of historic buildings and their architectural details.
This, to ensure structures built before 1986 are properly preserved.
A team of professional historians will complete fieldwork from Sept. 8 to Sept. 12, but the Town is asking residents to offer information, pictures and documents to ensure Bluffton's history is fully captured.
Community members can contribute stories, photos, or details connected to Old Town until September 5 by emailing BlufftonHistory@stantec.com.
