BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Afternoon temperatures will be warm, mainly in the 90s.
Many neighborhoods will remain dry today, but a stray shower or thunderstorm is possible this afternoon. Storms that develop will be capable of producing heavy rain and gusty winds.
We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds during your drive home.
The tropics are quiet for the moment. However, the National Hurricane Center is monitoring a tropical wave over the Atlantic. We could be looking at our next tropical depression as development is possible over the next seven days.
Highs are expected to reach the mid-90s Thursday through Saturday. Thankfully, extreme heat is not expected, and rain chances are minimal through early next week.
