5-car crash injures several people in North Hollywood

First responders Wednesday rushed to the site of a five-car collision, which injured seven people in North Hollywood.

It was not immediately clear what caused the crash on Lankershim Boulevard between Oxnard and Erwin streets.

Among the patients, two of them were in serious condition while five others were in fair shape. Their ages and genders were not immediately known.

Only one of the injured people was taken to a hospital as six others refused to be taken to a hospital against medical advice, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

Officials warned traffic in the area would be heavily impacted for “an extended period of time.”
