MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - The estate of a man reportedly shot multiple times by a “trigger-happy” security guard earlier this year in Myrtle Beach is filing a lawsuit.
The wrongful death lawsuit filed Friday names multiple defendants, including the security guard, Steven Ingate, Jr., and the company he worked for, Global Investigative Services.
The suit also names the Sea Mist Resort. Aaron Holston, 23, of Pickerington, Ohio, was staying at the Sea Mist Driftwood Building at 1207 South Ocean Blvd. when he was shot and killed on Feb. 4.
An HOA company hired Ingate through security company Global Investigative Services to perform armed security services at the resort that night, according to the lawsuit.
