The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality is seeking the public’s input on an amended air pollution permit for mining company South32.

The amended permit comes after the Environmental Protection Agency objected to the issuance of the permit in May, namely citing ADEQ’s failure to set enforceable provisions for the mining giant that plans to extract manganese, zinc, lead and copper from the Patagonia Mountains. ×
