The last time Trey Palmer played in the Caesars Superdome, he caught a touchdown pass.

The thing is, he did it in a visitor’s uniform. He’s looking forward to doing that for the home team this time around.

The New Orleans Saints claimed Palmer — a Kentwood, Louisiana, native — off waivers last week after he was let go by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And it’s safe to say the Kentwood, Louisiana, native is excited to be back in the boot.

“I’m home,” Palmer said. “I’m home, baby!”

Palmer began his college career at LSU before transferring to Nebraska, where he flourished. The Buccaneers selected him in the sixth round of the 2023 draft, and he carved out a role, catching 39 passes for 385 yards and three touchdowns — two of which came against New Orleans.
