As many people had to evacuate their homes, ABC10's Guarajpal Sangha toured the Chinese Camp devastation and even gave one family a look at their property through FaceTime. Chinese Camp, now a pass-through for tourists traveling to Yosemite, flourished in the 1850s as a stagecoach stop and supply hub for mining camps during the Gold Rush. The 6-5 Fire in Tuolumne County has grown to 6,700 acres and is now the largest blaze in the September Lightning Complex, which includes 22 fires burning about 12,000 acres. Evacuation orders are in effect for Chinese Camp and surrounding areas, with shelters open in Sonora.
